Here is an activity mat full of ideas to celebrate Roald Dahl Day on September 13th! The activities are related to the author and are not specific to any of his books.
It is perfect for using in class or at home with learners - some of these activities could be completed at home as family learning activities. There are a range of literacy, art and research tasks included.
Formative Assessment Strategy Cards
This is a set of formative assessment strategies to use in class.
I like to have a set of these printed out and on my desk or in my planner and I use it as a way to make sure I’m using lots of different strategies to formatively assess learning throughout the day! Hope they help!
Plenary sentence strips
This is a set of plenary sentence stems to use in class. I’ve added the matching questions for teachers to use (they are colour coded).
I like to have a set of these printed out and on my desk or stuck to the back of my classroom door and I use it as a prompt for discussions during plenaries or when the children are completing learning logs. Hope they help!
